Dr. Allen Barkis

Board memberDr. Allen Barkis is a Family Medicine Physician in Temple, Texas and father of four children. He received his BA and MA degrees in Biology from Baylor University where he met his wife at the Catholic Student Center. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. He and his wife of 30 years are dedicated to helping children grow in their Catholic Faith.
He has served on numerous boards including: the St. Mary's School Trust fund where he served as president for 9 years; The Holy Trinity Catholic High School Board of Trustees for 9 years having served his last 2 as Chairman; and now serves as an ex officio member and Chair of the development committee. He is also a Lifetime Charter Member of Trail Life USA and has served as Committee Chairman and Advancement Chair for his local troop. He was recognized as a Celebrating Catholic Schools Honoree by the Diocese of Austin in 2015.
Dr. Barkis has been a supporter of Eagles Wings Retreat Center since its beginnings and now serves on the Retreat Center board.
